The Holden Library is a member of Trails Regional Library system which covers Johnson and Lafayette counties and
is online at www.trailslibrary.org. Items that are not available at the Holden branch but that are available at other
branches in the system can be retrieved and picked up in Holden. The Holden Library can borrow materials from
other libraries throughout the United States if they are not available locally.

The Holden Library offers free WiFi as well as Internet access on it's own computers,
including Online Resources-Ancestry Online, Auto Repair Reference Center,
Downloadable Audiobooks and eBooks, Ebsco, Facts on File (American Indian
History, African American History, American Women's History, Science), Gale
database, Heritage Quest, Learning Express Library, Newsbank and World Book.
The Holden Library has a collection of audio books (on CD), DVDs, videos, fiction
and nonfiction books.

The Holden Library has a genealogy section including the Holden, Missouri
Sesquicentennial Book 1858-2008, History of Johnson County books published in
1881 and 1918, books on Johnson County cemeteries, family history books, many
old Holden High School yearbooks and Holden newspapers on microfilm from 1903
- October 2009.
